Student Discipline Attendance Policy
One of our top priorities is making sure students have an excellent attendance records. It is imperative that students are on time and attend every class to acquire the skills needed to graduate high school and be successful in all of their futue endeavors. Please click on the January attendance letter to the right for details of the attendance policy.
Permission to Leave Campus During the School Day
For a student to leve campus during the school day, a parent/guardian must send a note with the student - indicating the reason and time for dismissal. Students must report to the Attendance office, before school or during nutrition to request a permit to leave. Parents will be contacted by telephone to confirm the request. Under no circumstances may a student leave school during the school day without securing permission to leave campus. Students off campus without a pass will be cited by the Pasadena City Police and returned to Pasadena High School. The off-campus permit must be returned to the Attendance Office singed by a parent/guardain when the student returns to school.
Parent Portal is now available to Pasadena High School parents. Once you have a Parent Portal account you will be able to view your students attendance, grades, immunizations and student demographics. If you have more than one student at Pasadena High School you will need an account for each student. Both parents can have their own account but must come in individually to sign up for their account. To get an account you will need to have an email address and photo ID. You can sign up in to the Records Office during school hours.
Parents/guardians must keep the school informed of any changes in work/home telephone numbers and addresses. A valid telephone number for contacting a parent/guardian must be on file with the student's emergency information. Parent/guardians are also encouraged to sign up for Parent Portal or to contact the teachers regarding attendance.
